GiftFeels vs Between: Which Private App Fits a Couple?
Between is a long-running couples messenger. GiftFeels is a private space for two with sealed questions, an ember, and a memory box. Here is how to choose.
Between and GiftFeels both keep a relationship off the public internet. They do not do the same job. Between is a private messenger with albums and a shared calendar. GiftFeels is a small set of rituals — a sealed question, a one-tap ember, a memory box — built for a couple of short visits a day.
This page is based on each product’s public description as of September 2026. GiftFeels is on Google Play and the App Store. Check the current listing before you decide.
The short version
Choose Between if you want a private chat that replaces texting: threads, photos, and a calendar you both keep open through the day.
Choose GiftFeels if you already have a chat app and want a quieter place beside it: one question you cannot peek at, a sign that you thought of them, and the dates and photos that matter only to you two.

What Between is good at
Between has been a couples app for years, especially across Asia. Its centre is the conversation: a thread that is not mixed in with family group chats, plus photos and anniversaries kept next to that thread. If the problem you are solving is “our texts get buried,” Between is the more direct tool. You open it to talk.
That is also its limit. A chat wants an answer. A busy day becomes a stack of unread bubbles, and the app starts to feel like every other messenger with a pink theme.
What GiftFeels is good at
GiftFeels assumes you already text. It does not try to become the thread. The everyday pieces are smaller than a conversation:
- Ember. One tap sends a warm sign. They get one line and nothing they have to answer.
- A sealed question. Today’s question stays hidden until you have both written something, so nobody writes to please the other.
- A memory box. Photos and notes in one place, with a choice about what each person can see.
- Widgets. The next birthday or anniversary on the Lock Screen, where you already look.
There is no feed and no streak. A quiet Tuesday is allowed.
Which one, then?
Use Between when the relationship’s digital life is the conversation: long-distance texting, shared albums, a calendar you both live in.
Use GiftFeels when the conversation already has a home (iMessage, WhatsApp, anything) and what is missing is the small, private layer around it: a question you answer honestly, a sign you thought of them, and the dates you keep forgetting until the week of.
Plenty of couples will want the chat and the ritual. They are not substitutes, and this page is not a claim that one replaces the other.
